The Wedding Team

  • Greg F., Master of Ceremonies

Everyone’s favorite “funny guy!”, wedding emcee Greg is excited to bring his “comedic chops and group-rallying charisma to stimulate and orchestrate the numerous festivities to occur through the week.” He’ll also bring beauty products. Greg and Stephen met way back in 2008 and have survived flirting, chastising, and scarf stealing. Greg is “titillated” to be emcee. Also, he can’t get a dog.

  • Brie S., Flower Girl

As she happily enters her Flower Girl Era, Brie remains one of Stephen and Phil’s absolute favorite people (she was an ally before it was “hip”), travel companions, and pajama wearers. Her special skills include getting Ben to take a pic of her that she won’t be happy with, striking up convo with the nearest stranger, and rocking headbands. Also, she’s in charge of the guest book.

  • Clement G., Officiant

Clement is the reason Stephen and Phil met—and he has no intention of letting them forget it. He was honored to be asked to officiate (aka he demanded he be allowed to officiate), but everyone’s pretty sure he just wanted to be in the middle of the wedding kiss photo.

Phil’s Phab Phive-ish

  • Ken U., Best Man

As Phil’s younger friend (by three weeks, aka Ken’s favorite three weeks of the year), Ken always knows how to bring the party, the laughter and the wigs. He and Phil have shared the stage together countless times in Gay Camp, Cabaret (ask Ken what the fire extinguishers were for), Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged, and more. Ken cried when Phil asked him to be his best man, but then promptly reminded Phil, “I made you.”

  • Chris I., Groomsman

Though Chris is crushed that Stephen didn’t also ask him to be on The Board, he wasn’t surprised to be part of Phil’s wedding party seeing as they once dated (went on two dates, didn’t kiss). Chris and Phil have been friends for years, successfully managing to travel the world together, from Montreal to South Africa (no kissing there either). Chris’s special skills include playing piano, being asked to be in weddings and finding out who you have for Secret Santa.

  • Ashley K., Groomsman

America’s newest citizen Ashley has been friends with Phil since they met at Industry in 2010. He has a flare for fashion (Reis sample sales) and British sarcasm (less funny than American sarcasm). While happy to be part of the wedding party, he’s secretly planning a hostile takeover of The Board. Also, he looks forward to seeing Stephen’s brother Jason in a bathing suit.

  • Justin L., Groomsman

Phil and Justin met ages ago through bowling, but unlike Phil and Stephen who also met at bowling, Phil and Justin will not be marrying one another. Justin's special skills include anxiety, the ability to twist any positive interpersonal interaction into a narrative that you’re mad at him and CPR. Oh, and Justin's friends and family are still talking about how great Phil was officiating his wedding to Henry.

  • Jeremy M., Groomsman

Jeremy and his older brother Phil will never forget the fond childhood memories, particularly Phil picking on Jeremy until about 1992 when Jeremy overtook Phil in both size and strength. Jeremy is a first-class accountant, Disney lover and dog dad (though whether Einstein or Bubbie is the cuter pup is certainly up for debate). Jeremy was brave enough to let Phil officiate his wedding (certainly by now he should know never to let Phil have the mic).

  • Anthony M., Groomsman

Anthony was touched to be asked to be in Phil's wedding party, despite the fact that Stephen is always trying to touch Anthony's arms. He hails all the way from exotic Philadelphia and brings a certain anxious charm (or charming anxiety?) to the wedding party. Anthony is skilled at CrossFit (those gams!), drawing (he'll be doing caricatures poolside in PV) and being a loyal friend. Oh, and Anthony thinks he's Kyle Richards, but we all know he's Denise Richards.

Stephen’s Board of Directors

  • Diego D.

Diego and Stephen met at the Christopher Street Pier in speedos and again years later in Miami in speedos. (The boys look good in speedos.) Diego may not be thrilled about the hours of work involved with being a Board member, but he is excited to steal all of Phil and Stephen’s ideas for his own wedding. DD is a quadruple-threat performer, marketing expert, and Stephen’s “proxy” (just ask Phil). Who knew ‘Come meet us for drinks’ would turn into a lifelong friendship?

  • Andrew F.

Noodle is the first person to share a kind word, the first to turn into an emotional Pisces mess, and the first to finish his martini. Through what feels like centuries of friendship, Stephen and Andrew have shared hundreds of laughs, tears, and former friends. His loving and thoughtful generosity of spirit is the ideal balance to whatever it is Stephen is providing. Stephen looks forward to spending his golden years with Andrew in Florida when both of their third husbands pass away.

  • Jason S.

Introducing the one and only Jason, the Sultan of Smiles! With his infectious laughter and witty banter, Jason is a true maestro of merriment. (This bio was clearly brought to you by ChatGPT.) In addition to being Stephen’s younger and straighter brother, Jason is a proud husband, father and owner of two dozen hanging light fixtures that he swears will turn a profit when he resells them. Also, he looks forward to seeing Ashley in a bathing suit.

  • Ben C.

Ben is a sexy saint among saints (Stephen’s words…also Phil’s). An endlessly-devoted friend and husband, Ben is the first to lend a hand, lend an ear, or fall asleep when a movie starts. Whether donning short hair or long luscious locks, this handsome guy has somehow evaded Stephen’s advances throughout years of friendship. But that doesn’t mean Ben doesn’t appreciate a platonic shower every now and then.

  • Kimberly M.

Kim and Stephen met sophomore year at BU and have been making each other laugh ‘til they cry ever since. Kim is the life (and volume) of the party and has been a staple in the lives of Stephen, Phil and their friends for years, with annual guest appearances in Fire Island, Ptown and Hell’s Kitchen. Kim has a blossoming flower business (puns!) and a gorgeous daughter named Ruby.

  • Lia K.

Lia and Stephen have been friends since the second grade, living just around the corner from one another. Lia was surprised to be included as a member of The Board, since Stephen hasn’t forgiven her for eating his chicken cutlets every day during lunch period (plus, she figured only gays would make the cut). Also, she’s a calligraphy ninja.
